Football Recap: Cheyenne Wells Skates Past Branson/Kim with Ease

With a playoff win on the line, Cheyenne Wells rose to the challenge on Saturday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 70-21 win over the Branson/Kim Bearcats. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by 29 points or more this season.

Cheyenne Wells didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Kooper Brossman led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. Trey Scheler has been hot, having also posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last eight times he's played. Cory Hill got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

When it comes to explaining why Branson/Kim lost, don't look at Will Doherty. Despite the final result, he picked up 183 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Doherty showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 60 yards.

Cheyenne Wells' victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points over those games. As for Branson/Kim, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

As of now, neither Cheyenne Wells nor the Bearcats have any future games scheduled.
