Basketball Recap: Alpine Finds Playoff Glory Versus Lamesa

It's playoff time, and Alpine had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Lamesa Tornadoes by a score of 60-53 on Tuesday. This was payback for the Bucks, who suffered a 61-56 loss the last time these two teams met.

It was another big night for Daedrick Hardwick, who dropped a double-double with 31 points and 14 boards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in field goal percentage (81%). Ferris Daley was another key player, going 6-for-14 en route to 14 points.

Alpine has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.2 points over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Lamesa and nudges their season record down to 5-21.

Alpine has already played their next game, a 69-52 defeat against Slaton on the 20th. Lamesa does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
