Football Recap: Kylan Fryar Key Part of Team Effort in Lions Win

Loganville Christian Academy was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They enjoyed a cozy 44-28 victory over The King's Academy Knights. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Loganville Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kylan Fryar, who threw for 204 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushed for 63 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven carries. The dominant performance also gave Fryar a new career-high in passer rating (156.3). Another player making a difference was Drey Thomas, who gained 191 total yards and two touchdowns.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Loganville Christian Academy, adding 14 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Braylon Griffin, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

When it comes to explaining why The King's Academy lost, don't look at Jaxon Bone. Despite the final result, he rushed for 133 yards and two scores.

The win made it two in a row for Loganville Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 6-3. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-8 The King's Academy and 2-5 Riverside Military Academy. As for The King's Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
