Softball Recap: Mansfield Takes a Loss

If Mansfield was feeling good fresh off their 17-1 takedown of Dora on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions lost 16-4 to the Seymour Tigers on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 17-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Mansfield has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season. As for Seymour, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mansfield will face off against Bakersfield at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Seymour, they will challenge Ava at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
