Basketball Recap: Our Lady of Mercy Academy Continues Home Dominance on Wednesday

Our Lady of Mercy Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They walked away with a 49-37 win over the Hammonton Blue Devils. The Villagers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Blue Devils, too.

Our Lady of Mercy Academy's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-11. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.4 points over those games. As for Hammonton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Our Lady of Mercy Academy will host Shawnee at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hammonton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Seneca at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
