Softball Recap: Lima Christian Comes Up Short

Lima Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Pavilion Golden Gophers, falling 15-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Gophers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-0 back in April.

Lima Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Pavilion, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.

Lima Christian and Pavilion could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings. The Saints (ranked 598th) will meet Bishop Kearney (ranked 70th) at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Pavilion will take on Geneseo at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (430 vs. 151).
