Recap: Edison Vikings vs. Pitman Pride

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Edison Vikings can now relate to. They were the victim of a tough 71-47 defeat at the hands of the Pride on Monday. Edison was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Pitman apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.

Pitman was led to victory by Cole Martin and Avery Sanchez. Martin scored 24 points, while Sanchez scored 31 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Anderson, who scored ten points along with five assists.

Edison has not been sharp recently as the team has lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 18-11 record this season. As for Pitman, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 21-7.

Edison does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pitman, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-57 loss vs. Monterey Trail on the 14th.
