Basketball Game Preview: Western Albemarle Warriors vs. Spotswood Trailblazers

The Western Albemarle Warriors will take on the Spotswood Trailblazers on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Western Albemarle sitting on four straight victories and Spotswood on 17.

Western Albemarle is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 57-56 win over Liberty Christian.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Spotswood and Staunton, and Spotswood kept the tradition alive. Spotswood strolled past Staunton with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 79-61.

Spotswood pushed their record up to 22-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.9 points over those games. As for Western Albemarle, their win bumped their record up to 20-5.
