Meanwhile, Cleveland Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against Medina, falling 21-0. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Tigers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Garfield Heights pushed their record up to 3-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Cleveland Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.

Garfield Heights might still be hurting after the 20-9 loss they got from Cleveland Heights in their previous matchup back in May of 2023. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
