Softball Recap: Gautier Comes Up Short

Gautier fell victim to Stone and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 12-0 to the Tomcats. The Gators' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it seven in a row.

Gautier now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Stone, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gautier will challenge St. Martin at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Gators' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Yellow Jackets have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Stone, they will square off against Gulfport at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Admirals will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Tomcats surely won't give up without a fight.
