Softball Recap: Hampton Bays Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Hampton Bays's offense. They lost 16-0 to the Sayville Golden Flashes on Wednesday. The Baymen haven't had much luck with the Golden Flashes recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Hampton Bays saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Grunewald, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Grunewald's first of the season.

Hampton Bays' defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Coming up, Hampton Bays will be playing at home against Mount Sinai at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sayville will be paying especially close attention to the Baymen's game: after the Baymen faces off against Bellport, they'll take on Sayville again at 4:30 p.m. on the 24th.
