Basketball Recap: Penns Manor Find Success

If Purchase Line wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Penns Manor, they should've done a better job of containing Amin Lieb. The Penns Manor Comets put the hurt on the Purchase Line Red Dragons with a sharp 74-50 win on Monday thanks in part to Lieb, who dropped a triple-double on 13 points, 12 rebounds, and ten assists. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2023.

Dylan Depp was another key player, putting up 13 points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

When it comes to explaining why Purchase Line lost, don't look at Jakob Mountain. Despite the final result, he went 8 of 15 on his way to 19 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Kauffman, who posted 12 points and five rebounds.

The victory got Penns Manor back to even at 7-7. As for Purchase Line, their loss was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-12.

Penns Manor wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 78-28 defeat against Conemaugh Township on the 14th. As for Purchase Line, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 61-25 loss against Northern Cambria on the 14th.
