Softball Recap: Franklin Takes a Loss

Franklin came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 13-3 to the Hickory Hornets. The defeat continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost three in a row.

Abigail Boland was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. Aubree Hollerman also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Hickory, their record now sits at 2-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Franklin will take on rival Oil City at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Hickory is set to face off against their familiar foe Jamestown at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
