 The Wayne Valley Indians are on the road again  on Tuesday to play the Mahwah Thunderbirds at 4:15  p.m. Wayne Valley will be strutting in after a  win while Mahwah will be coming in after a  loss.
 On Saturday, Wayne Valley made easy work of Columbia  and carried off  a  9-3 victory.
  Brandon Van Peenen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered  just two earned  (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in six consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Jacob Gonzalez, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Nick Cavagnaro, who  went 1-for-3 with two  RBI.
 Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought  match, but Mahwah had to settle for  a  6-4 defeat against NV - Old Tappan on Monday. Mahwah has not had much luck with NV - Old Tappan recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
  Dylan Stark made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.  Daniel McClanahan was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.
 Wayne Valley's win  ended  a  four-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 11-13. As for Mahwah, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.
