Soccer Game Preview: Dunbar vs. Gateway Charter

The Dunbar Tigers will head out to challenge the Gateway Charter Griffins at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Dunbar's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Dunbar came up short against Lehigh on Wednesday, falling 5-1. Dunbar were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 3-0.

Meanwhile, there was early excitement for Gateway Charter after they claimed the first goal on Friday, however, they wouldn't score again. They lost 4-1 to Canterbury. The matchup was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Gateway Charter it sure didn't stay that way.

Gateway Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Dunbar, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 0-4.

Dunbar took their win against Gateway Charter when the teams last played back in November of 2020 by a conclusive 5-1 score. In that match, the Tigers amassed a halftime lead of 3-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
