Baseball Recap: Liberty Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Liberty had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Point Pleasant Beach Garnet Gulls, falling 8-1.

Point Pleasant Beach pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

While Liberty had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
