Recap: Northview Chiefs vs. Laurel Hill Hoboes
The Northview Chiefs suffered their biggest loss since December 4, 2023 on Thursday. They were outmatched by Laurel Hill on the road and fell 63-21. Northview just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.
Laurel Hill's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aiyana Dixon, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 24 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Lakyn Varnum, who scored eight points along with eight steals.
Northview's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Laurel Hill, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northview will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Milton at 5:30 p.m. on January 26th. Milton presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Northview in Florida (Milton is ranked 223rd, while Northview is ranked 576th). As for Laurel Hill, they will head out on the road to challenge Destin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
