Football Recap: North Valleys Comes Up Short

North Valleys was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a hard 21-7 fall against the Galena Grizzlies. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Grizzlies from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

Mikole Almond threw for 107 yards and one TD. Lucas Sadler was his top target, picking up 64 receiving yards. On the ground, Hayden Lewis rushed for 55 yards.

The critical scores for Galena came from Andrew Kennon, Wyatt Lace, and Lane Billau.

North Valleys' defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

North Valleys and Galena should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Nevada Rankings. The Panthers (ranked 49th) will meet Wheatland (ranked 679th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Galena will challenge Burbank at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (24 vs. 329).
