Basketball Recap: Dr. Phillips Takes a Loss

Dr. Phillips was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 71-68 heartbreaker at the hands of the Master's Academy Eagles. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 71-51 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Dr. Phillips' defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Master's Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Dr. Phillips will take on Poinciana at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Master's Academy, they will challenge Melbourne at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Master's Academy will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
