Basketball Game Preview: Tallwood Lions vs. Green Run Stallions

The Tallwood Lions will venture away from home to take on the Green Run Stallions at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tallwood has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with 35 straight losses, while Green Run will come in with four straight wins.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 42-15, which was the final score in Tallwood's tilt against Bayside on Friday.

Meanwhile, Green Run humbled Ocean Lakes with a 67-18 victory. The Stallions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 30 points or more this season.

Green Run's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-7. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37.3 points. As for Tallwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14.

Tallwood was dealt a bruising 77-15 loss at the hands of Green Run in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can Tallwood avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
