Softball Recap: Auburn Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Auburn can now relate to. They lost 10-1 to the Fayetteville-Manlius Hornets on Saturday. The Maroons' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Auburn's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Fayetteville-Manlius, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

Auburn does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fayetteville-Manlius, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-0 victory against Fulton on the 26th.
