South Vermillion dropped their record down to 12-8 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell 8-4 to the Riverton Parke Panthers. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

South Vermillion saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dallas Coleman, who went 1-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Bryson Lemmons also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.

As for Riverton Parke, their record is now 11-7. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

On Riverton Parke's side, Kyle Price and AJ Goff made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Price tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Goff struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. At the plate, Price went 2-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Goff fired off two home runs while going 2-for-5. Goff also scored two runs, which is notable because Riverton Parke is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-7 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jackson While, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
