Softball Recap: Midway Takes a Loss

Midway fell victim to Leeton and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 12-0. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Vikings' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Midway's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Leeton, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Looking ahead, Midway will welcome Adrian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Blackhawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.21 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Leeton, they will face off against Green Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
