Softball Recap: Elk County Catholic Crusaders vs. Northern Potter Panthers

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Elk County Catholic can now relate to. They fell just short of the Northern Potter Panthers by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. Elk County Catholic has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Northern Potter's part, Jaylyn Williammee spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on nine hits and racked up 14 Ks. Williammee has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 18 consecutive pitching appearances.
