Huron won against Grosse Ile last Wednesday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Chiefs didn't even let the Jefferson Bears on the board, marking the Chiefs' second-straight 12-0 shutout. Considering the Chiefs have won six games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Huron and bumps their season record up to 8-11. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for Jefferson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Huron will square off against Carlson at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Marauders will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Chiefs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Jefferson, they will face off against Flat Rock at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
