Basketball Recap: Hagerman Comes Up Short

After soaring to 67 points the game before, Hagerman was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They were beaten by the Valley Vikings 64-29. The Pirates have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why Hagerman lost, don't look at Ky Kendall. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 16 on his way to 18 points and five rebounds. Kendall's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Hagerman fell to 3-1. As for Valley, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Hagerman didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 67-48 defeat against Potlatch on the 13th. As for Valley, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Butte County at 12:20 p.m. on December 28th. Butte County will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
