Basketball Recap: Nebraska City Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Nebraska City lost against Wahoo back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Nebraska City Pioneers fell to the Wahoo Warriors 24-18. The contest marked the Pioneers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Gretchen Seagren was the offensive standout of the matchup as she went 5 for 12 en route to 13 points and four blocks. She has been hot, having posted two or more blocks the last eight times she's played.

Nebraska City's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-6. As for Wahoo, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 5-6.

Nebraska City wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 50-32 defeat against Plattsmouth on the 16th. As for Wahoo, they will take on Platteview at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
