Kanab has gone 9-1 against Piute recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Kanab Cowboys will square off against the Piute Thunderbirds at 3:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Kanab and five for Piute dating back to last season.

Kanab lost 12-2 to Beaver on Wednesday.

Gracie Jensen made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lindsey Cornell, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Piute fell victim to Pine View and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 15-0.

Kanab's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Piute, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Kanab was able to grind out a solid win over Piute when the teams last played on Saturday, winning 8-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kanab since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
