Basketball Game Preview: Chapin Eagles vs. Mid-Carolina Rebels

The Chapin Eagles and the Mid-Carolina Rebels will face off at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Chapin has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

Chapin saw some tournament action on Friday. They blew past Newberry, posting a 63-21 win. That looming 63-21 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this season.

Meanwhile, Mid-Carolina came up short against Irmo on Friday, falling 42-21. The matchup marked the Rebels' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Mid-Carolina and nudges their season record down to 2-7. As for Chapin, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Chapin was dealt a bruising 58-30 loss at the hands of Mid-Carolina in their previous meeting back in December of 2021. Can Chapin avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
