Volleyball Recap: Stewarts Creek Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Stewarts Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rockvale. The Red Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Rockvale apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Stewarts Creek actually scored more points across those four sets (92-88), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-22, 11-25, 25-20.

Despite the loss, Stewarts Creek still got an impressive performance from Gabriella Scales, who had 23 digs. Scales is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Vogt, who had 13 assists and 12 digs.

Stewarts Creek's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Rockvale, their win ended an eight-match drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 8-17.

Coming up, Stewarts Creek will take on White County in a tournament on Saturday. Rockvale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
