Basketball Recap: Accel Academy Comes Up Short

Accel Academy had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were dealt a 64-33 loss at the hands of the McIntosh Demons.

Leading McIntosh to victory were Chauncey Dixon and Zoie Miller. Dixon went 8 for 15 on her way to 18 points and eight steals, while Miller almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten assists. Dixon's morning made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Marley Dixon, who posted 11 points.

The win got McIntosh back to even at 2-2.

Accel Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Citronelle at 5:30 p.m. on December 18th. As for McIntosh, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 53-23 victory against Fruitdale on the 5th.
