Recap: Chandler Lions vs. Jones Longhorns
It was a good run, but The Chandler Lions unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a serious blow against Jones, falling 57-28. Chandler has struggled against Jones recently, as their game on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jones to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isaiah Sawyer, who rushed for 203 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Clayton Creasey, who rushed for 52 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.
Chandler's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Jones, their victory was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-2.
Chandler will square off against Star-Spencer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Star-Spencer will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 158th, while Chandler is ranked 45th). As for Jones, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Kellyville at 7:00 p.m. Kellyville is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
