Football Recap: Saddleback Takes a Loss

Saddleback was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 22-0 to the Rancho Alamitos Vaqueros. While losing is never fun, the Roadrunners can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 291st, while the Vaqueros are ranked 134th).

Saddleback's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Rancho Alamitos, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Saddleback will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Orange at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Rancho Alamitos has already played their next contest (against Loara), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
