Softball Preview: Peabody Golden Tide vs. Westview Chargers

The Peabody Golden Tide are on the road again on Monday to play the Westview Chargers at 5:00 p.m. Peabody is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.

Peabody can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. Everything went their way against Lake County as Peabody made off with a 10-3 victory.

Alexis Wilson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Wilson has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive pitching appearances. Wilson was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-3 with three RBI, a triple, and a run.
