Hutsonville/Palestine is 8-2 against Martinsville since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Tigers will square off against the Bluestreaks at 4:30 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

While Hutsonville/Palestine's victory against Red Hill wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers never let the Salukis get on the board and left with a 2-0 win on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since May 9, 2024.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Martinsville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] 5-4 on Wednesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last seven times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Brylee Reed spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on 11 hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kamryn Remlinger, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Hutsonville/Palestine has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Martinsville, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Hutsonville/Palestine took their win against Martinsville when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 12-1 score. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Bluestreaks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
