Tipton and Lewis Cass are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Blue Devils will look to defend their home field on Saturday against the Kings at 12:00 p.m. Tipton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
Tipton took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They blew past Taylor 19-1. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Chidalynn Beach made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Ella Lobeck and Lucy Niccum did most of the damage at the plate: Lobeck went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and one double, while Niccum went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits Niccum has posted since back in April of 2025. Anya Cline was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
Tipton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .676. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Lewis Cass unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 17-6 to Eastern.
Shay Dishner and Ava Hubner did some serious damage despite the final result: Dishner went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base, while Hubner went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That stolen base was Dishner's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Hildebrand, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Tipton's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Lewis Cass, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.
