After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lingle-Fort Laramie, Mitchell was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against Bayard by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 last Saturday.

Mitchell easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-10.

Morgan Paetow paced Mitchell's offense, picking up six kills. Paetow got some help from Kapri Stover and her seven assists. Ellison Paetow and Adisyn Wetherington kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Mitchell's victory bumped their record up to 3-12. As for Bayard, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-9.

Coincidentally, Mitchell and Bayard will both be playing Pine Bluffs the next time they take the court. Bayard will head out to face Pine Bluffs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Mitchell will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
