Considering the Pioneers have won eight contests by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Dayoung Jung was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs and five RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lilly Roman, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.
Cupertino was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .765. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Cupertino's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for El Primero, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
