Baseball Recap: Riverside-Durham Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Willow Spring, Riverside-Durham was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Millbrook Wildcats 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pirates have posted since April 22, 2025.

Riverside-Durham's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Sam Bowers, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Riverside-Durham's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-5. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Millbrook, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

Riverside-Durham wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 36-2 win against Southern School of Energy and Sustainability on the 7th. As for Millbrook, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-4 victory against Athens Drive on the 7th.
