The Saint Ignatius College Prep Wolfpack will venture away from home to take on the Fenwick Friars at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Saint Ignatius College Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Saint Ignatius College Prep managed to slip by Huntley the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wolfpack came up short against the Red Raiders on Saturday, falling 8-2. The Wolfpack's loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Alec Gunderson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.

Glenbrook North hit Fenwick with a five-run second inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Friars lost 11-4 to the Spartans. The Friars' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Fenwick also got a good showing from Bobby Milder, who pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Milder has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Ben Jarnecke was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael McMahon, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

Saint Ignatius College Prep now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Fenwick, they now have a losing record of 6-7-1.
