Basketball Recap: Quinton Comes Up Short

On Thursday, the Quinton Savages were beaten by the Hammon Warriors 70-28. While losing is never fun, the Savages can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 395th, while the Warriors are ranked 48th).

Quinton dropped their record down to 1-12 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Hammon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.

Quinton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 48-31 win against Seiling on the 25th. Hammon has also already played their next game, a 55-47 loss against Laverne on the 24th.
