Baseball Recap: Union Takes a Loss

Union faced off against Lake in a bug-themed battle on Saturday. The Yellowjackets lost 14-4 to the Hornets. The Yellowjackets have struggled against the Hornets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Kooper Fultz was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Union's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Lake, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-4.

Looking ahead, Union will head out to challenge Sebastopol at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bobcats have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season. As for Lake, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Morton at 7:00 p.m.
