Baseball Recap: Murrah Mustangs vs. Callaway Chargers
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Murrah). They blew past the Callaway Chargers 16-2 on Friday. The Mustangs not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 2, 2024.

Travis Collins and Cameron Cobbins did most of the damage at the plate: Collins went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs, while Cobbins scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-2. Those three runs gave Cobbins a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Courtavious Russell, who scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Murrah always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .840. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The victory was the third in a row for Murrah, bringing their record up to 7-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Callaway, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-7.
