Softball Recap: Lafayette Comes Up Short

Lafayette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 34th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the West Point Pointers, falling 17-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pointers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-1 back in March.

Lafayette's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for West Point, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lafayette will host Warhill at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for West Point, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Charles City at 5:00 p.m.
