Mesa is 0-3 against Casteel since February of 2018 but things could change on Monday. The Jackrabbits will look to defend their home field against the Colts at 3:45 p.m. Mesa has given up an average of 19.5 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mesa saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jada Porter, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two triples, and two stolen bases. Another was Mailyn Ortiz Cabezas, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, Casteel made sure to put some runs up on the board against Cactus on Saturday. The Colts put the hurt on the Cobras with a sharp 12-1 win.
Casteel let Lauren Fullton and Maddy Matejcek run wild. Fullton went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double, while Matejcek went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most RBI Fullton has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenley Payne, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Casteel always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .621. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Casteel's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Mesa, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
Monday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Mesa hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .396. However, it's not like Casteel struggles in that department as they've averaged .323. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
