Brody Shick and Kaden McGregor provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Kennedy Catholic. The longest such play in Keystone Shortway - Small this season, the connection resulted in 60 yards.
Clarion Area extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating St. Marys, 40-28. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Union's dynamic duo of Shick and McGregor proved tough for the Golden Eagles to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Shick threw for 171 yards and three touchdowns and McGregor had 102 yards receiving. Cody Kline helped Union's passing attack out by catching one ball for 39 yards.
Kevin Kaufman provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Allegheny-Clarion Valley lost to Brookville. He completed 14 passes for 201 yards and one touchdown and also ran for four yards. Kaufman's favorite target this week was Ryan Bartley, who caught four passes for 74 yards.
Landon Delisio was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 20 carries, he ran for 61 yards as the Falcons bested Kennedy Catholic. Teammate Mike Suto added to the ground attack by rushing for 19 yards.
6-foot-0 quarterback Kaufman of Allegheny-Clarion Valley is the league leader in passing yards this season with 994. He has also thrown eight touchdowns. On the ground, Clarion Area's TJ Armstrong has rushed for 410 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Cody Hearst. The Clarion Area star has 10 catches for 264 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Redbank Valley takes on Larry Wiser's team. The Bulldogs are currently in fifth, while the Bobcats are in first.
