Recap: Anderson Raptors vs. West Clermont Wolves
The Anderson Raptors took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). They really took it to West Clermont for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-36 win at home. That's another feather in the cap for Anderson, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Anderson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from A.J. Austin-Robinson, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Cassius Black, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Jaden Brock-Sanderfer and Lane Madden certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Brock-Sanderfer scored eight points along with six rebounds, while Madden scored five points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jase Meiser, who scored six points.
Anderson's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.4 points per game. As for West Clermont, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Anderson won't have much time to rest: their next game is against New Richmond at 3:00 p.m. on December 9th. Hopefully New Richmond focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday. As for West Clermont, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Kings at 7:30 p.m. Kings has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests.
