Softball Recap: Aletheia Christian Academy Comes Up Short at Home Against Pine Forest

Aletheia Christian Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 30-9 to the Pine Forest Eagles on Tuesday.

Abigail Baldwin was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. Abby Finley was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Pine Forest's win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-0.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Lions take on the Wildcats at 6:03 p.m. on March 31st. As for Pine Forest, they will challenge Destin at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pine Forest knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Destin likes a good challenge.
