Recap: Haddonfield Bulldawgs vs. Gloucester City Lions
The Haddonfield Bulldawgs entered their tilt with the Gloucester City Lions with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Haddonfield came out on top against Gloucester City by a score of 17-7 on Friday. For Haddonfield, this counts as revenge for the 14-13 loss Gloucester City walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2022.
Haddonfield had a senior duo take command as Charlie Klaus gained 149 total yards and a touchdown and Declan McCarthy rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. Klaus was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 55 yards.
Haddonfield's win was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.6 points per game. As for Gloucester City, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2.
Haddonfield will take on Rumson-Fair Haven at TBD on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (Rumson-Fair Haven is ranked 38th, while Haddonfield is ranked 46th). Gloucester City will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Gloucester Catholic on November 23rd.
