Basketball Recap: Regents Academy Drops Highest Score of Season Against Athens Christian Preparatory Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Regents Academy). They walked away with a 43-31 victory over the Athens Christian Preparatory Academy Storm on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 39-36 last Friday.

Athens Christian Preparatory Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Kiley Normandin and Trinity Williams. Normandin posted 14 points along with eight boards and eight blocks, while Williams went 5-for-8 to rack up 11 points. The dominant performance also gave Williams a new career-high in field goal percentage (63%). Emma Fowler was another key player, putting up two points and three steals.

The win made it two in a row for Regents Academy and bumps their season record up to 2-3. As for Athens Christian Preparatory Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8.

As of now, neither Regents Academy nor Athens Christian Preparatory Academy have any future games scheduled.
